I’m Connor MacIvor, founder of SantaClaritaArtificialIntelligence.com.

My journey with technology started in the 1980s, long before “AI” became a household word. My father, an engineer at White Sands Missile Range, often brought home early tech that sparked my curiosity. I started programming on a Sinclair Timex computer, graduated to the Commodore 64 and Amiga 128, and eventually onto the early Windows machines. By high school, I was volunteering at the Clyde W. Tombaugh Planetarium and the International Space Hall of Fame, surrounded by scientists from NMSU-A and Holloman AFB—minds that fueled my lifelong passion for innovation.

From Law Enforcement to Real Estate & AI

After school, I took a very different path—two decades with the Los Angeles Police Department, 17 years as a full-time officer and 3 more in the reserves. Alongside law enforcement, I built a successful career in real estate, sharpening my expertise in marketing, SEO, and digital content strategies. Those skills laid the foundation for what I do today with AI.

Early Adoption of Artificial Intelligence

I was introduced to Artificial Intelligence as a teenager through my dad’s engineering work. Back then, it wasn’t mainstream—but I knew it was the future. Today, I see AI not just as a tool, but as the defining technology of our time—the biggest human creation, and perhaps the last we’ll ever need to invent.
